10th October 1894 - Ambrose Percival Steinbeck, husband of Clara Alexandra Ingram Lambie, is born in New York, USA.

10th October 1896 - Patrick Boylan plays for the Woolwich Arsenal against Millwall in a friendly match.

10th October 1901 - Alexander Lambie, son of John and Agnes Drummond, is born in Hutchesontown.

10th October 1944 -  SS-Panzer-Aufklärungs-Abteilung 10 "Frundsberg" including Kurt Pauli, attacked Barenton in Normandy. This operation failed. The battalion was scattered by Allied assault aviation. Many vehicles were destroyed.
